"I have known Ian for 8 months and over that time I have had 11 sessions.
For over 5 years I have suffered from a prolapsed disc in my lower back, experiencing various pains, primarily in my middle and lower back to such an extent, every day to day movement hurt. I even had to stop playing my favourite sport, golf, as it was far too painful to play.
After my initial consultation session, Ian soon got to grips with the problem. Initially I had 7 weekly sessions which seemed intense at the time, but really made a significant difference. After this period I was almost pain free and had much more movement in my back, which meant that, not only I could start playing golf again, but it also helped my swing tremendously as I had greater rotation and movement!
After this initial 7 weeks, I now see Ian every 4 to 6 weeks which ensures that if there are any areas of concern they are quickly rectified before becoming an ingrained problem. I call it my MOT. This approach has proven to be successful to date as I remain pain free.
I know that my prolapsed disc will always be there, but I am please to report that I am physically in my best shape for over 5 years.
Ian has not only provided a great 'hands-on service', he also provides explanations for the various complaints and also suggests exercises that will assist in between his sessions.
I have found Ian to be extremely professional at all times and I thank him sincerely for all his help and guidance over the last 8 months. Long may this continue in the future." Graham, golfer and retired company director
"Ian is a fantastic and personable Osteopath, and has treated all my family over the years. He provides targeted treatments with a high degree of professional knowledge. Ian also has great communication skills and has helped me enormously with all injuries (including back, knee and ankle). I subject myself to a wide variety of wear-and-tear and Ian always manages to mend me. His empathetic understanding of pain and treatment has helped me get back to a level of fitness I never thought was possible! It goes without saying that as a client I thoroughly recommend his services." Lilly, solicitor and keen HIIT trainer
"One of the downsides of being a professional golfer is the wear and tear on the body. Before I went to see Ian I was suffering from IT band, hamstring and gluteal pain to the point where the simple action of putting was agony. After seeing Ian and him working on my lower body, I was immediately relieved of my pain and could putt freely, and could swing faster and harder through my full swing without any fear of discomfort. I would advise anyone, professional golfer or amateur, to go and see Ian as he explains the issue at hand in an understandable and friendly manner, as well as being extremely efficient at treating painful limbs!" Ted, professional golfer playing on the international circuit
"I cannot recommend Ian highly enough. I had suffered for 20 years with a shoulder injury and within the space of six months Ian has worked wonders on it and I can honestly say I’m now pain free!! When I say it’s magic he calmly says 'it’s not magic, it’s pure science'". Sarah, owner and director of a retail brand consultancy
"I was introduced to Ian an Osteopath by my gym instructor as I was suffering extreme pain in my left shoulder. He talked to me for some time to ascertain the problem and then performed a miracle by manipulation of the shoulder and the pain had gone. I would highly recommend Ian for treatment of any kind of pain similar to my problem." Tony, former company director now in his eighties
"Ian's approach was very professional and he made me feel comfortable during the consultation process. He listened to my issues and at every part of the treatment let me know what movements he was going to perform and when to ensure I felt comfortable with them. He also took the time to explain exactly why my shoulder was feeling the way it was and what was causing the pain. I felt relief after the first session with Ian and he was able to fix my shoulder when weeks of acupuncture had done nothing!" Hazel, PhD who works in publishing
"I first visited Ian at Stoke Park in April 2015 with a persistent neck and shoulder problem. I had been reviewed by an orthopaedic consultant and advised to have physiotherapy which I did. The physio's weekly treatment provided me with temporary relief from the problem but I realized that in fact I was not really any better off for longer periods. Ian immediately identified the causes of the problem, being a curvature of the spine and that my hips were not in line. He has relieved the symptoms and my back is now much more flexible. I have not looked back.
I propose to continue regular maintenance checks with him.
Ian is extremely knowledgeable and gives one a huge feeling of confidence as he explains the various parts of the treatment." Carole, ladies' tennis captain and keen golfer
"I would recommend Ian to anyone from any age. My initial problem was i had a moderate level of lower back pains and I had a slightly bent spine at the top and bottom of my spine. From Ian the solution in the long term was great, it is visible that my spine is straighter and my lower back pains have completely gone. Furthermore, I have more mobility on my right hand side which I didn’t realise I even had a problem until I was notified by Ian. I have had osteopaths before however I had been given a mix of a lot of pressure on my back and other osteopaths has been a bit too soft. I found Ian had the perfect compilation of pressure. He also gave me very useful exercises to practice at home which improved my problem.
Overall, I haven’t met an osteopath as intelligent and professional as Ian is and I would recommend him to anyone with similar issues." Hayley, first year undergraduate student
"Ian is a very professional and extremely knowledgeable osteopath and in my experience one of the best. He is very fast to reply as well as doing a great job. He saved me from lots of pain and agony and I feel safe in his hands." Atosa, owner and director of a fashion stylist consultancy
“Your calming manner and expert touch made me feel so much more relaxed and at ease.” Anna, hospitality and leisure manager
"Visiting you is always pleasant. You have a gentle approach but yet still manage to improve the areas of issue without any sudden movement. I have been to osteopaths in the past and haven't been impressed with them. My family recommended you and I am so glad that I gave osteopathy another chance because I really look forward to our sessions. You have a unique style and put me at ease. You know exactly what you are doing and always explain to me what you are doing which I think is a great thing. I would definitely recommend you and I have already done so to my work colleagues. Thanks for your help." Nusha, bank manager
